I was visiting Alki Beach in September and there was memorial for Black folks who have been murdered throughout the years in the United States. Seeing their faces is a reminder of the pain and injustice that Black people still suffer from. It is important to continue to say the names of the victims – we cannot forget them. We have to continue to fight and work towards ending this racist system.
